The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. From the very beginning, being surrounded by warm salty air, surfing on green glassy waves, walking through soft waving grasses, and exploring trails through lush, storytelling trees defined Leizel's idea bliss, and set the bar of inspiration for everything to come... Leizel Grant was born in South Africa, and immigrated to the U.S. with her family in 1986. She attended school in Washington State, where she began drawing detailed charcoal portraits of Africa's wild animals.
